These must be markers specifically for areas that are patrolled by North Carolina's Incident Management Assistance Patrol (IMAP) units. North Carolina is the fourth state that I've seen such mile markers.

This is the exit for the new northwest stretch of I-485. I traveled this on the way to Greensboro, but continued straight on I-77 to I-85 near Downtown Charlotte so that I could add more I-77 mileage.

The HOV lanes are marked with double solid white lines, except for "entrance points" where they are only marked with single broken white lines (as opposed to Georgia's double broken white lines).

This is one of 3 that I spotted along I-85 in South Carolina. There are more "neutered" (no state name) I-85 shields at Exit 92 (SC 11 - Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway) near Gaffney.

Along US 23/441/GA 15/365 is the only place in Georgia AFAIK that has big green signs for a "Historic Business Route". IMHO, it should be US 23/441 Business.

Here is the exit for GA 53 (Oakwood/Dawsonville) with small variable message sign. Also notice the sign on the left for I-985, which says "I-985 South" instead of "SOUTH I-985".
